does the loop out plug on the back of the decoder mean i can run from one decoder to another? or is a cable splitter the way to go, i cant find anything on this and am to unsure to do it re voltages, cheers

Yeah mate a second decoder will work using loop thru.
So will a splitter.
Voltage is always going to be a factor which ever way you do it.
With loop, the first box in line determines lnb polarity.
With a splitter (assuming power pass all ports) The decoder with the highest lnb output voltage will determin polarity.
