Just did a search of the board on this product. I noticed a couple of people mentioned them, but that was about it.

Does anyone have any feedback, good or bad about this thing?

i 've got one ... the terrestrial works well and the satworks ok it has a few small issues , if you are tying to use the disceq 1.2 and two dishes on motors , ie c-band with positioner and ku with stab mount , it will only allow you to use one lnb setting.... my other xtreme xsc-520 does this with no problems. strange but thats life !

Thanks for that sax.

You say your other box does allow this. What's the story there?

no idea ! i purchased thexsc-520 first and it did everything i wanted it to ,thought i would use that as play unit and get the xtsc-520 as main veiwing unit , but with the lnb issue i have had to reverse my set up. its a pity as the xtsc-520 seems do to everything else well . i must say the usual stab mount feature on both units is very handy for set up and locating all avalible sats,on ku band.

Have a read over at austech.info because they did a bulk buy of them a while ago. It looks like there were some problems with some models of the extreme decoders. I could be wrong so do a search on their site.

my xsc-520 does have a couple of software issues ,,there is firmware upgrade avalible that i will be doing shortly , that by all reports i have read, fixes the issues , my xstc- 520 has worked fine since day one , although the lnb issue (will not switch between ku and band lnb settings) doesn't seem to be mentioned by anyone else

Thanks sax.

I suppose I'll grab one. After all, I was gonna spend $300 on a SD digital box anyway, so for a couple of hundred extra it might be a good entry level machine.
