That's a bit negative "Vic"
Could we have some more information on the Receivers,, I,ve gone through all the stuff I have on differant receivers and connot find them listed. That,s not to say there of no use.
Have you tried them, What happens when you plug-um in.
Try them on a known service, something that you know works.
What is the reaction of the receivers ?????

Thanks Bassett for that...:) Here's what I have on them and this is only from what's on the boxes they are in, nothing from the net or anywhere else.
Actually on looking at the boxes there is a fair bit of info on them both and I'm thinking they are both Analogue tho.
Infosat - 500 channels, 2 Input, 2 Bandwidth, C/KU Selectable, 0/12 Volts, 22 Khz, Mechanical Polarizer, System Lock, Auto Bandwidth 110/150/280/500 Khz, PLL Modulator (21-69 ch), Diseqc 1.0, SMPS, LNB Local freq, Low Threshold & other minor ones.
Ricoms - 200 ch, 900-2150 Mhz wide range 1 input/2 Bandwidth tuner, Adjustable 32 LT Steps, PLL Freq Synthesised Tuner, C/Ku Band Video Polarity Selection, Audio Bandwidth Selection 130/280/380/600 Khz, Mecahnical Polorizer, 0/12 V for multi switching box.
Will do some more studying of them and will plug them in and see what happens..:)
As I said they are obvious to me now they are Analogue boxes and when I finally get my mesh dish up I will try therm out then..:)

OK - Have plugged them both in and they both work fine and run nps but they are both obviously analogue boxes as there is no option to adjust s/r so hence I shall wait until I kick the c-band dish up..:)
Thanks for the help bassett..:)

The first receiver may be Digital, I don,t know of any Analuge Receivers that had Diseqc switching. It could be both Analuge and Digital.. I don,t no of any Ku analuge, On C-band theres Star Sport 3800 H on Asiasat 3s
When you go into the menu , what does it say , on Decoder settings.

I have an analogue receiver with Diseqc switching. I's an Access Millenium 2000. Just bought it. Yes I know I'm nuts. Analogue is going the way of the Dodo.
How big a dish do you need for Star Sports on Asiasat3? Actually what I really want to know is what size dish gives a very snowy/weak just detectable picture? Because... I don't have a C band dish up yet only a few 1.2m dishes.

I received Star Sports in Perth with a solid 2.4M dish. Star sports has strong signal quality and shouldn't be a problem picking it up. The commentating is in Chinese but sometimes in English.
I use a 2.3m mesh dish with excellent result in Brisbane. Many though quite successfully use a 1.8m solid with good result too. Best pick would be a 2.4m heavy duty for Mackay and they are getting cheap too.

Glad to know a 1.8m solid will work. I have one under construction.
