Sceret Menu Options Not In the Manual

Someone using a UEC decoder has told me that he accidentally got these options which are not stated in the manual . Some of the options are; satellite hop frequency, band which can be set to L band,c and Ku etc. The problem is that the person did it by mistake and does not know how to access these very useful functions again. Does any one know the sequence of buttons that should be pressed in order to get these options on any UEC decoder (including Multichoice decoders)?

I can tell you for a fact, that there are no settings for L band, and there are no secret, unknown instructions, or mirrors to worry about...
Wheres Ozviewer, when you need him. He,s a Guru when it comes to UEC, and if anyone knows about the inner workings of UEC, and Multichoice he does... And if there was anything strange or hidden, he would know ..

9949 is the only special numbers I have ever known.

Never seen anything before like you mention...however...we can all live n learn.

Your mate may be best looking at the model number, and check to see if it is our usual styled Irdeto receiver.

My assumption, is that even tho it is UEC, it is one that is for a different encyption or specialised provider, not intended for the Aussie marketplace.

Just as a started thinking that there no hidden/secret menus,
I discovered a hidden test menu on a uec decoder (multichoice) .
The test menu is obtained by selecting advanced options then seleting the information option.The test menu is obtained by pressing alt on the remote while either any one of these options is highlighted,DSD Status, CA Status, Loader Status. The test menu has these options:
1 Save last/alt entries to RAM
2 Start surfer in menus
3 Start surfer in satndby
4 Disconnect from current service
5 Disconnect from current srevice list
6 Popupmode connect to next service and arbot sufer
7 Remove last watched service from userprofile
8 Send forced upgrade to EMM
Does any one have an idea of what is the purpose of the test menu or any of its options.
I think that this hidden/secret test menu shows that uec deocoder have hidden functions. Can anyone who has a uce decoder try to use the test menu to see how it works.

I tried your theory in my Multichoice 660 and got nothing at all.

viewer- Maybe my instructions were not clear enough the tricky part is that you hilglight the Information Option (using arrow keys) then press OK then Press alt to get the test menu.
The software you are using is the reason why you are not getting the test menu. If you have the lastet software you should get the test menu.

Hi,
Our problem is that the 660 Multichoice cannot be upgraded in it's software. have tried doing this unit via PAS 10, and it will not take any upgrade.....how have you upgraded your software...btw...I cannot see PAS 10 from here, and a good soul in WA tried this to no avail for me
